Johnstone’s StainAway with Stain Blocking Technology. Stronger than stains.
Johnstone’s StainAway wall and ceiling paint contains Stain Blocking Technology to permanently isolate stains and leave a durable flat matt finish.  The innovative Stain Blocking Technology permanently isolates even the most persistent stains, including smoke, nicotine and water. StainAway also has high opacity, class 1 scrub resistance and leaves a smooth flat matt finish.
When working with stained walls and ceilings, there is no need to use a separate primer and finish. Johnstone’s StainAway will do both jobs in one, saving you time on the job.

Coverage 9m² per litre

Dry Time : Touch Dry in 1 hour. Recoatable after 4 hours.

Preparation:

All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from grease and loose or flaking material.  Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.  Avoid the inhalation of dust - wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Application:

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.  Stir the paint well before use.  Wear respiratory protection.  Easy to apply by brush, roller or paint pad. Also suitable for application by spray. Seal absorbent surfaces first with a coat of emulsion thinned up to 20% with clean water.  Do not use below 8°c or in damp conditions.  For best results in one coat, apply the paint generously and evenly in line with the spreading rate of up to 9m² per litre.  Avoid over spreading.  Some strong or contrasting stains may require a further coat.

Cleaning:

Remove as much product as possible from brushes, rollers and paint pads before cleaning.  Replace lid firmly.  Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.  Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.  Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
