Preparation

The key to the perfect finish is in the preparation, so take your time now, follow these simple steps, and you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous new look. Start by ensuring all timber must be clean, dry and free from varnish or paint. If the timber is affected by mould, lichen or algae treat with a suitable Fungicidal Wash as directed. Leave for 24 hours and then scrub down with clean water and leave to dry. Retreat with Fungicidal Wash and leave to dry. Use gloves whilst applying to avoid staining hands.

Application

Now for the fun bit! Stir well before use and keep stiring now and again during use. Brush liberally and evenly onto exposed surfaces. Wash splashes off plants otherwise the foliage may stain. Only one coat is needed on sound, new timber. Old, weathered or porous timber may require two coats, allowing 2-4 hours between coats. Do not apply to wet wood, in temperatures below 10ºC or if rain is imminent. The final colour depends on the colour and state of the original timber surface.

Cleaning

Once you have completed all your painting, make sure you remove as much product as possible from your brushes as possible before cleaning immediately in warm soapy water and then rinse thoroughly.
